The self-adhesive label paper material is mainly composed of: surface coating, surface material, adhesive, release coating, base paper and back coating or back printing of base paper, as detailed below:
1.Surface coating is used to change the surface characteristics of the surface material. For example, it can improve the surface tension, change the color, add a protective layer, etc., so that it can better accept ink and be easy to print, to prevent dirt, increase ink adhesion and prevent the printed image from falling off. Surface coating is mainly used for non-absorbent materials, such as aluminum foil, aluminum-coated paper and various film materials.
2.The surface material is the material that receives printed images on the front side and adhesives on the back side and is finally applied to the adhered object. Generally speaking, any flexible and deformable material can be used as the surface material of the self-adhesive material, such as commonly used paper, film, composite foil, various textiles, thin metal sheets and rubber. The type of surface material depends on the final application and printing process. The surface material should be able to adapt to printing and printing, have good ink absorption, and have sufficient strength to accept various processing, such as die-cutting, waste discharge, slitting, punching and labeling.
3.Adhesive is the medium between label material and adhesive substrate, playing a connecting role. According to its characteristics, it can be divided into two types: permanent and removable. It has a variety of formulas, suitable for different surface materials and different occasions. Adhesive is the most important component in self-adhesive material technology and the key to label application technology.
4.Release coating (silicon coating) is to coat a silicone oil layer on the surface of the base paper. The silicone oil coating can make the base paper have a very low surface tension and a very smooth surface, which prevents the adhesive from adhering to the base paper.
5.The function of the backing paper is to receive the release agent coating, protect the adhesive on the back of the surface material, and support the surface material so that it can be die-cut, waste discharged and labeled on the labeling machine.
