Coated Silicone PET Release Liner – High-Performance Polyester Silicone Film

Coated silicone PET release liner is a high-performance polyester film coated with a uniform silicone layer, providing excellent release properties, thermal stability and dimensional strength. It is widely used as a carrier for labels, adhesive tapes, protective films, electronic materials and industrial composites where stable release and durability are essential.

  • Stable polyester base — PET film offers high tensile strength, good heat resistance and low shrinkage.
  • Uniform silicone coating — consistent release force, smooth peeling and low defects in high-speed production.
  • Customizable specs — multiple colors, GSM range, widths and release-force levels to match different adhesives and processes.

Tell us your adhesive type, release level and slitting size, and we will recommend a suitable coated silicone PET release liner and provide a direct factory quotation.

product description

Coated silicone PET is a polyester-based release liner with a precisely controlled silicone coating on the surface. The silicone layer provides reliable release properties, while the PET base film delivers high dimensional stability, tensile strength and heat resistance. This combination makes it suitable for demanding applications in labels, adhesive tapes, electronics and various industrial laminations.

Product Overview

The liner is designed for consistent release performance, high cleanliness and good handling in coating, laminating and die-cutting processes. The silicone coating can be tuned to different release-force levels, from ultra-light to ultra-heavy, to match a wide range of pressure-sensitive adhesives and process requirements.

Technical Specifications

  • Color options: White, yellow, kraft (brown)
  • Basis weight (GSM): 40 g/m² – 250 g/m²
  • Width (customizable): 500 mm – 1540 mm
  • Release force range (customizable):
       Super light release: 1–3 g

Key Features & Benefits

  • Excellent release properties: uniform silicone layer ensures stable, predictable release force and clean separation from adhesive layers.
  • High thermal stability: PET base provides good heat resistance and dimensional stability during drying, curing and laminating.
  • Mechanical strength: strong polyester film resists tearing and stretching, suitable for high-speed processing.
  • Customizable performance: a wide range of GSM, width and release-force options to fit different adhesives and production lines.
  • Printable surface: supports simple one-color printing for identification, alignment marks and branding.

Typical Applications

  • Self-adhesive labels: release liner for paper and film label stocks.
  • Double-sided tapes & foam tapes: carrier liner during coating, slitting and die-cutting.
  • Electronics & protective films: release base for optical films, protective films and functional adhesive layers.
  • Industrial composites: release liner for rubber sheets, PU, silicone and other cast or laminated materials.
